Rebate questions, answered.
Do I qualify for SVCE or BayREN rebates?+
If your home is in Silicon Valley Clean Energy's service area (Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, Saratoga, Sunnyvale, and unincorporated Santa Clara County), you qualify for SVCE rebates. BayREN Home+ covers the 9 Bay Area counties. We'll confirm your eligibility before your estimate.
Does Majestic actually file the paperwork?+
Yes. We are a Participating Contractor for SVCE and a BayREN Home+ Contractor. We complete and submit every rebate form, lock in pre-approvals where required, and handle follow-up communication with the rebate program on your behalf.
How long does the rebate check take?+
Most SVCE rebates are paid within 6–10 weeks of install completion. BayREN bundles average 8–12 weeks. Federal tax credits are claimed on your return for the install year.
Can rebates be stacked?+
Yes — most are stackable. The SVCE HVAC + water heater + panel rebates stack with BayREN Home+, and both stack with federal tax credits (25C, up to $2,000 for heat pumps + up to $1,200 for envelope upgrades per year).
What if I rent or share a meter?+
Renters generally need landlord sign-off. Shared-meter condos and townhomes can qualify but need a utility-account check. Call us at (408) 797-9855 — we'll sort it in a 2-minute phone call.
Is there a deadline?+
Program funding is limited and refreshed annually. SVCE and BayREN funds have run out mid-year in past years. Booking early in the calendar year is safest.
Can I get rebates on a repair (not install)?+
No — rebates are for new-equipment upgrades. The PG&E smart-thermostat rebate applies any time you add one.
Will you give me a quote including rebates?+
Every Majestic quote shows retail cost, every applicable rebate, federal credits, and your estimated net out-of-pocket — in writing, before you sign.
